At Strem HQ Tech Academy, we are thrilled to share some exciting news—Pierce has been recognized as a semi-finalist for the prestigious FIRST Dean’s List Award! We couldn’t be prouder of his dedication, leadership, and commitment to the core values of FIRST. We eagerly await the State Championship, where we will find out if he advances as a finalist!

The FIRST Dean’s List Award, sponsored by the Kamen family, is a distinguished recognition for outstanding 10th and 11th-grade students in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). This award honors students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, teamwork, and a passion for STEM, making a significant impact on their teams and communities.

Understanding the FIRST Dean’s List Award

The award has three levels of recognition:

  1. FIRST Dean’s List Semi-finalists – Comprised of the two (2) students in their 10th or 11th school year nominated by each team.

  2. FIRST Dean’s List Finalists – The students selected for each regional championship

  3. FIRST Dean’s List Winners – Comprised of the ten (10) FIRST Robotics Competition and ten (10) FIRST Tech Challenge students selected from the applicable FIRST Dean’s List Finalists

Students who earn this recognition exemplify leadership, commitment to FIRST’s mission, and a dedication to fostering STEM awareness in their communities. They uphold Gracious Professionalism®, embrace inclusion, and serve as role models for their peers.
