CHAMPIONSHIP AWARD WINNERS!
Strem HQ FIRST Lego League team Polaris won Champions Award at the Walton FLL Regional Qualifiers held at Walton High School on Dec 4, 2021.
Polaris has won this award second consecutive year in a row. Last year team Polaris also made it to the GA state competitions.
Polaris has 9 students from various schools in Cobb, Fulton and Forsyth Counties ranging from 4th to 6th grades. 5 of the students in the team are rookies who have never participated in the FLL competitions before.
We are so proud of all the hard work and dedication this little group of students has shown.
A champions award celebrates a team that embodies the FIRST ® LEGO® League Challenge experience, by fully embracing our Core Values while achieving excellence and innovation in Robot Performance, Robot Design and the Innovation Project. It is given to the team that shows the best results overall in all categories. The points from the categories Robot Game, Research, Robot Design and Core Values are equally weighted in the overall ranking. The champions award winners move on to the Super regional competition and will be competing with other qualifying teams.
Polaris students are selected for their dedication and passion towards robotics. These students have an excellent work ethic and are very hard working. They were not afraid to put in extra hours of work.
Not only this was a great group of students, but very supportive parents as well. The parents provide a huge moral and emotional support for the kids.
Our coaches here at Strem HQ are very proud of this team. Congratulations to the team.
